Welcome to Asian Music Review! Tell us a little bit about you and your music.
Hi LAMR! Our band ERES PH started in 2022, using the name Cosmic Sundae. But we later changed it to Eres, inspired by the name of our vocalist, “Irish,” and represented by “Ares,” (the God of War).
Eres is a Filipino alternative punk rock band (who are also part of other bands) comprising of Irish Bolilan (vocals), Allison Barican (back up vocals/guitarist), Daniel Lodruigito (guitarist), Kenneth Mendoza (guitarist), Micheal Creus (bassist), and Penn Potente (drummer).
We are influenced by various genres and look forward to discovering new sounds.
Congrats on the release! What was your inspiration when you were writing this project?
Released on July 30, 2023. “Fade Away” is a song for those who have lost communication with their special someone and have suddenly left without explanation.
What lessons would you like to impart with your audience?
Our goal is create music that will reach more people who can relate/connect with our experience and stories that we convey. There’s magic in what music can do. Music connects people, and that’s what keeps us going.
