Welcome to Asian Music Review! Tell us a little bit about you and your music.
Hi AMR! I’m Joshua Ignacio. I work in the Middle east to support my music career. I released my first single “Unending Power” May this year.
Congrats on the release! What was your inspiration when you were writing this project?
Released October 27, 2023. 14U was the very first song that I wrote in 2005. The song wasn’t even titled 14U at the time. I also did not have high hopes for it cause it was like random thoughts of me thinking of someone I will love. But when I was building up the melody, I realized that it was special. I’m happy that I received positive feedback about the song.
What lessons would you like to impart with your audience?
As you listen to the lyrics of “14U” the person in the story is afraid but at the same time plans to confess his feelings for the girl.
But when it comes to love, usually it’s God that will bring it to you. You must pray about it. Be honest with your feelings (intention) on what you truly feel. We are not kids where we have to play around but show the intention of offering lifetime commitment (marriage) to a woman.
What is your favorite part of this body of work?
Promise I will always be loving you so faithfully.
But the promise here is the divine promise as well, to my Lord that I will love my significant other forever.
What’s next on your journey?
During the release week of 14U, I also submitted the two singles Unending Power and 14U in the upcoming American Songwriting Competition. I’m also planning to make a Music Video for 14U. Please follow me on my socials to stay updated.
