Congrats on the release! What was your inspiration when you were writing this project?
This song’s theme is focuses on missing someone and wishing you could went back to the how things were before. The lyrics mean a relationship that has somewhat lost its fire.
Released March 31, 2023. Styles’ nostalgic melody is perfect for summertime, taking a softer approach. It’s a perfect song to listen to while relaxing by the pool or around a cottage. The lyrics are simple to remember, and the mellow vibe immediately travels you back to your own childhood summer vacations.
“Take me back to summer (2009)” is a song written by Filipino Music Producer/ DJ FADO & pancitcanton featuring Paul Pronda & Erin Suniega. The track is a lofi house and pop song with a slow house instrumental arrangement and a synthetic beat. We are happy that our song was included on Spotify’s Editorial playlist, Fresh Finds Philippines.

By the time I was writing my part of the song, I had just gotten home from work. The ideas just came to me, perhaps based on the title and the beat created by FADO & pancitcanton “Take me to back me back to the summer (2009)”. Suddenly, I wondered, why summer? Is it warm? My love life is hotter than the summer.
What lessons would you like to impart with your audience?
I’m hoping this song gets its due attention. But it all depends on who can relate to it. Find out what’s causing her to be cold to you. So, that’s all there is to it.
Sometimes we blame others for what happens in our lives. We don’t realize that we are responsible for our own lives, and we also make mistakes.
What is your favorite part of this body of work?
Miss Erin’s role became clear. I love the instrumentals. I played this song countless times. The songs released around 2008–2009 are reminiscent of it.
I love the song because it evokes the sensation of recalling songs and songs associated with events in your life in those years.
What’s next on your journey?
FADO will play DJ at a special Certifest 2023 private pool event under Certified Productions in CTFD on May 6 at Dasmarias, Cavite, Philippines.
