Edgy, upbeat and empowering!

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW
Welcome to Asian Music Review! Tell us a little bit about you and your music.
Mad Generic’s songs tackles about the hardships and challenges of every individual, may it be related to society, politics, self-esteem, depression, love, and other life aspects. The songs aim to inspire people to move and to better, for something greater.
Congrats on the release! What was your inspiration when you were writing this project?
Released October 21, 2022 “You Save Me” is a song about depression up until somebody saves him from it. The storytelling of the song focuses on the tension-release, not only from the music but also from the lyrics. It’s like a travel from darkness to light.

What lessons would you like to impart with your audience?
This album “Naratibo” is like an invitation for us to actually hope and love, and believe all that comes with it, even in the midst of such challenging situations. It aims to empower the heart and soul of the listeners through it’s lyrics and music, not to invalidate but to admit and recognize pain and suffering.
What is your favorite part of this body of work?
The music production and engineering of the album taught me so much. I made new friends and they became my guidance in this journey towards learning the art of song mixing.
What’s next on your journey?
The second album is on the production process already! So keep in touch with us and follow our social media pages! You can also witness us perform live on January 28, at OneForDaRoad, Mother Ignacia, and on February 4 at PIT88, Marikina.
