Filipino inspirational band Thoughts And Notions…
continues to deliver powerful messages of faith through their songs, with their new track “Mighty”—a collaboration with Ben Oribe, a Christian indie singer/songwriter who gave a refreshing interpretation on this song.
Like other signature Thoughts And Notions songs, Mighty is not your usual church/praise-sounding song. It has familiar pop/chill vibes that are notable in their catalogue. This one in particular, they even dug deep in their musical repertoire by churning out a Motown feel with a surprising reggae twist midway through the song. Every Thoughts And Notions song surprises as their not-so-typical Contemporary Christian Music (CCM) sound could pretty easily crossover to other mainstream genres.
The chorus radiates a powerful message to highlight the value of faith over religion, and God before ambition.
