Welcome to Asian Music Review! Tell us a little bit about you and your music.

I’m Ana Lhe a.k.a Mahirap Umasa from the Philippines, an independent singer-songwriter and a DJ based in KSA. I write songs from my experiences and get inspiration from other people’s stories.

Congrats on the release! What was your inspiration when you were writing this project?

I wrote this song thinking of what a person with mental health issues would feel and go through with such conditions.

Released on March 3, 2023. “Running Thoughts” is part of The Rock White album of Songwriters United, distributed by SCI Records. This song was interpreted by Jonas Lozano, also an independent singer-songwriter based in Iloilo City, Philippines.

What lessons would you like to impart with your audience?

I want people to listen to this song and help raise awareness that many are going through mental health issues. We have to be more compassionate and understanding to help them cope with their situation.

What is your favorite part of this body of work?

My favorite part is when the line speaks about asking for help, someone to talk to, and someone to rescue.

What’s next on your journey?

I will be part of the upcoming release of “We Praise” album, also a project of Songwriters United. This will be distributed by KDR Music House. Stay tuned to all my socials for updates.
