Chockz Valdez is a Filipino singer-songwriter based who grew up in Paombong, Bulacan and now currently based in Doha, Qatar. He has written songs for years and he’s happy to finally share his music with the world.
Congrats on the release! What was your inspiration when you were writing this project?
Released September 7, 2022 Preno is a song that is very close to my heart. I wrote this for almost 2 hours, which includes the melody early morning in 2006.

Hinding-hindi ka bibitawan

Kailan ma’y hindi pababayaan
The song highlights a conversation between I and God—a good reminder for everyone to take time to have a break, pause, reflect, and never rush.
What lessons would you like to impart with your audience?
I hope that this song can reach more people to inspire and uplift souls.
Most of the time, we are in a hurry for things we want to do and achieve. We also tend to be confused about what path to take. But God continuously reminds us to stop, pause, reflect, and seek His guidance. His love is constant. He will never leave us and lead us to the right path.
What is your favorite part of this body of work?
My favorite part is the rawness of its lyrics, the inspiration that truly comes from Him. I believe that I am a messenger of God through this song.
Anything else we should know about? What’s next on your journey?
Thankfully, Preno made it to Qabayan Radio 94.3 Doha Qatar’s Top 1 Most Requested Song for six consecutive weeks.
I have two other songs released last year, Dear Lord and Paulit-Ulit Lang. I’m planning to release more songs in the second or third quarter of this year.
